What is the Difference Between Cialis and Levitra?

Posted By: Gary Bellman on June 5, 2013

Nowadays, men are fortunate to have a few pills to choose from to enhance sexual function.  With a few options, it can get a bit confusing as to which works best.  Viagra is one of the most well known and has been around the longest– Also thought to be more potent for some men.

Erectile dysfunction drugs Cialis and Levitra work by relaxing muscles and increasing blood flow.  While Levitra is taken about 1 hour before it is needed, Cialis can be consumed up to 12 hours before.

Viagra and Levitra have a shorter time of effect, up to 4 hours where as Cialis can stay in one’s system for up to 36 hours.

Cialis is the only pill for erectile dysfunction that is also approved for an enlarged prostate. This is usually taken as a daily pill.

Dr. Bellman recommends to avoid purchasing them online because of counterfeits.  For further inquiries, it is best to schedule an in-office appointment.
